Home Visits

Doctor's bagHome visits should be requested only if the patient is unable to attend the surgery as the surgery provides the best conditions for assessing and examining the patient.

Make sure you request a Home Visit before 10.30am if possible and it would help if you could tell the Receptionist the nature of the problem so that the most urgent cases can be given priority.

If you are in someone else’s residence please inform the staff the address and telephone number.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You may also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
